Your Will Is The Most Valuable Asset You Have!

Updated: Aug 8

To the Body of Christ, I feel it’s extremely important for this time to share that your will is your most valuable asset that you have . Both God and satan want to access you through your will! They are both seeking to use you by the channel of your will. If I give my will to do evil- satan is coming through me through my choice. If I give my will to do good; God is being revealed through my choice..

Who are you giving your will to? Are you choosing to not believe the WORD of God? Then you have given your will to Satan . He will always try to get God’s creation to doubt God and his word! We are always using our will! We make choices to do good and to do evil or we choose not to obey God. These are all choices that come through our will! Whenever a person feels that they have no power to change - this is a sure sign that they are using their will to doubt God’s pure word and to believe the lie of Satan .

Watchman Nee suggests that the most important aspect of the Christian life is the degree to which our will and God’s will are in harmony, or union, with one another. Our union with the Lord has two steps: the union of life and the union of will. We are united with Him in life at the time we are regenerated and receive His life. What expresses that life is my will.

To be joined with the Lord in will simply denotes that we have one will with Him.  My will is my  self and to become one with Christ in my will is to join my self to his SELF and therefore I enter into my true self. Our will being what it is, God of course daily seeks its union with His will. Salvation cannot be complete until man's will is united entirely with God's. Without that perfect bond man's self is yet at odds with Him.

He wants us to have His life, but He also wants us to be united with Him. Since our will most closely represents us, our union with Got cannot be complete without the joining of our will to Him. Through Adam's disobedience we perish; through the obedience of Christ we are saved. Formerly we were sons of disobedience; today God wants us to be sons of obedience. Disobedience means to follow one's own selfish desires instead of God’s unselfish desires .

To become one with God’s will is to unite my heart with his heart of pure love. The purpose of divine salvation is to encourage us to deny our selfish will and be united with Him. Many believers imagine feeling real good inside is the essence of spirituality . A joyful feeling or a deep spiritual knowledge they think is true spirituality . So, when they have ordinary plain normal tasks in life such as changing diapers, cutting the grass or washing dishes- they think I have no purpose or meaning.

They spend time craving various sensations or questing after mental knowledge of the Bible, for they regard these as highly superior. Meanwhile, acting upon their feelings and thoughts, they go about performing many good tasks which they believe must be pleasing to God. They do not understand , that He asks not how they feel or think, He only seeks the union of their wills with His will. Two things we are told is definitely His will: be thankful in all things and love others as yourself. Unless the believer is determined in his volition to finish the course God has set before him, nothing is of any worth.

If we are really united with God in will, we shall cease at once every activity which emerges from our selfish desires. SUBDUING THE WILLWhat then is salvation? Salvation is nothing other than God saving man out of himself and into God. Any way of salvation that does not have the goal of saving man from himself and into union with God is not genuine.  Genuine life can only be seen in the losing of one’s self. If the natural disposition, life, and activities of the creature are not totally done away with, there will be no place for God’s life to be manifested. Our "self" is often the enemy of God’s life.

If we do not lose the intentions and experiences that are for ourselves, our spiritual life will suffer great loss. What is the self?Basically, the "self" is the "self-will.

" The essence of man’s self is just his will because the will reveals how the man actually is, what he actually wants, and what he is willing to do. Except for the work done in man by the grace of God, all that man has, whether he is a sinner or a saint, is completely opposed to God. The disposition of created man is always natural, and it is never of the same kind as God’s life.Salvation is nothing other than saving man out of his fleshly, natural, created, animal, and selfish will.

God gives us new life for the purpose of turning our will back to Him. The gospel is to lead us to a union with God in our will. Otherwise, the gospel has not achieved its mission. God does not intend to save just our emotion or our mind; He intends to save our will because once the will is saved, the rest will be included. The most important and the most complete union with God rests in the union of man’s will with God’s will.

Since our whole being moves according to our will, our will is clearly the most powerful part of our being. God and we have only one life. This is inward. However, the will expresses this one life.  . Since our will is the most important part, after regeneration, God daily is seeking the union of our will with His will. If our will is not fully one with God, it means that salvation is not fully accomplished, because man himself is still not in harmony with God. God not only wants us to have His life, but also for ourselves to be in union with Him.

The will absolutely belongs to us. If there is no union in the will, we ourselves are not yet united with God.If we study the Bible carefully, we will see that among all our sins, there is one common principle --rebellion. Adam brought us to perdition through this sin, while Christ brought us to salvation through obedience.

We were originally sons of rebellion; now God wants us to be the children of obedience. Rebellion is just following after our will, while submission is following after God’s will. The whole purpose of God’s salvation is to have us forsake our selfish  will and be in union with His will. God’s demands are not related to how man feels or what he thinks; He wants man’s will to be united with Him. He desires to see a believer wholeheartedly seeking after what He wants and willingly obeying all that He says.

If a believer does not resolve in his will to go all the way to finish God’s course, whatever he does is useless. If our will is in union with God, we immediately stop the activities that issue from the self. This means that there is no longer any independent action. We are dead toward ourselves, but alive toward God. Who am I yielding my members to?

The one that has use of my members becomes my master! Either God or Satan? Romans 6: 11-16” 11 In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus. 12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. 13 Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness. 14 For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means!16 Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness.”

If I choose to believe the pure WORD of God , then I take my place by an act of my will in faith as dead to sin and alive to God. Romans 6:11. But if I choose to call God a liar. Then I yield my members as an act of my will to evil. Verses 12-16.

Whatever I choose is using my will and both God and Satan want my will, but they cannot force me to give them my will. It’s always my choice only!Beloved family, who are you yielding yourselves( your will) to? You are the only one that can choose today who will be allowed to use your members! Choose today to unite your will with the will of your Heavenly Father please! ❤️remember your tongue is a little member that can create great damage or tremendous life. One final thought: God is constantly working in us to cause us to will—- He will never will instead of me- but He will always work in me TO WILL. His grace in you is sufficient today to cause you to make the right choices! Phil 2:13- 13 for it is God who works in you TO WILL and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.
